Son of George and Mary Taylor of 112 Blake Street, Mansfield Woodhouse. Native of Sheffield
He enlisted on June 15th 1915. Previously he was a miner at the Shirebrook Colliery. He was sent to the Front on 4th March 1916, and had only been in France for 6 months when he was killed. Frank had been recommended for the Distinguished Conduct Medal, but the Officer who had recommended him, Second Lieutenant A J Bullivant had been killed shortly after and the decoration was not forthcoming.

Additional Information:
Son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Taylor of Rambler Cottage, Clipstone Road, Forest Town.
Prior to enlisting, Isaac was employed at the Mansfield Colliery and was a member of the Colliery St John Ambulance Brigade.
He took his training at Sheffield and then went to Llandrindod Wells and Salisbury. He was so committed to the Army that on 3 separate occasions when he was faced with discharge due to a skin condition, he secured cancellation of this and proceeded to the Front.

Home address, 55 Carlton Street, Mansfield.
Previous to enlisting he worked at Sherwood Colliery. He had worked there since being 14 years of age. Was wounded on 3rd July 1916, was sent to hospital to recover and was sent back to the Front when his wounds had healed sufficiently.

Son of Henry and Sarah Ann Townroe of Berry Hill Cottage, Mansfield. Native of Mansfield Woodhouse
Enlisted 21st September 1914.
He saw service in the Dardenelles, Egypt, Salonika and had been in France for 18 months before he was killed.
He was married on 2nd October 1918.

Prior to enlisting Fred had been in the employment of the Sherwood Colliery, where he had worked for 15 years. He was a senior member of the electrical staff reaching the position of Assistant Chief Clark. He enlisted into the Army in May 1915 and his training took him to Buxton, Sheffield, Winchester and Godalming. From there he proceeded to the Front on 12th March 1916.He was killed by a shell which landed in the middle of a party of 4 men delivering rations to the troops in the Front Line.
